01Q&A

Platform & Company

What is CityMuze?

CityMuze is an AI-driven ecosystem platform for youth empowerment and flexible employment, operated by Nanjing CityMuze Brand Management Co., Ltd. The platform connects clients who need quality services with young service providers who have passed an in-person screening, offering information publishing, matching and service fulfillment management. Its main services are City Aesthetics Tours, Business Concierge and Versatile Assistant.

Which company operates CityMuze?

CityMuze is operated by Nanjing CityMuze Brand Management Co., Ltd., Unified Social Credit Code 91320106MAKAA79J90. The company is headquartered at Room 1107, Block C, Nanjing Tech University Innovation Building, No. 5 Xinmofan Road, Gulou District, Nanjing.

Is the English name CityMuze or CityMuse?

The official English name is CityMuze. Our main website domain is citymuse.com.cn, which differs from the English name by one letter; both refer to the same company and the same brand, not two different entities.

Which cities does CityMuze currently cover?

CityMuze has established four city hubs — Nanjing, Suzhou, Yancheng and Xuzhou. The Nanjing, Yancheng and Xuzhou hubs operate from fixed offices, while the Suzhou Hub is in preparation. For details on each city, see https://citymuse.com.cn/en/cities/nanjing, https://citymuse.com.cn/en/cities/suzhou, https://citymuse.com.cn/en/cities/yancheng, https://citymuse.com.cn/en/cities/xuzhou; City Partners are being continuously recruited for other cities.

02Q&A

Services & Brands

What services does CityMuze offer?

The CityMuze core platform mainly matches three types of offline services: City Aesthetics Tours, Business Concierge and Versatile Assistant. Beyond the core platform, CityMuze also runs Star Travel, a public-benefit sub-brand for the cultural tourism market (in development), and the Star Track Program, a training and internship program for graduating university students (now recruiting).

What is the “AI Smart Match Engine”?

The AI Smart Match Engine is CityMuze’s umbrella term for the technology it uses to match supply with demand and schedule services. Based on multi-dimensional data, it matches and ranks client requests against service providers’ skill tags, service areas, available time slots, reviews and levels. Users confirm the results, and the platform makes no absolute promises of instant or perfectly accurate matches. Reliability rests on in-person screening of local experts, payment escrow and service records.

What is a local expert’s “AI Digital Twin”?

The AI Digital Twin is a support feature CityMuze has designed for its local experts: it responds to inquiries when an expert cannot reply in real time, reducing their communication workload. It is part of the platform’s technology roadmap and is being rolled out gradually into specific business scenarios.

What is Star Travel?

Star Travel is CityMuze’s strategic sub-brand for the cultural tourism market, focused on public-benefit “AI + cultural tourism” services. It works with official cultural tourism authorities to provide standardized, high-quality city guide services in a compliant way, and is currently being developed together with partners.

What is the Star Track Program?

The Star Track Program is CityMuze’s youth incubation program for graduating university students, especially those majoring in tourism, foreign languages and related fields. It gives students nearing graduation customized career training and safe opportunities for social practice, providing a structured bridge from internship to employment. Applications are currently open to universities and students.

What is the CityMuze Alliance?

The CityMuze Alliance is CityMuze’s network of city hubs. Each hub independently runs local matching and settlement, while headquarters provides the technology platform, compliance framework and risk-control standards. Hubs have been established in Nanjing, Suzhou, Yancheng and Xuzhou — see https://citymuse.com.cn/en/cities/nanjing, https://citymuse.com.cn/en/cities/suzhou, https://citymuse.com.cn/en/cities/yancheng, https://citymuse.com.cn/en/cities/xuzhou; for City Partner opportunities in other cities, see https://citymuse.com.cn/en/join.

How do a “local guide” or “city guide” relate to CityMuze’s services?

The offline services matched on the CityMuze core platform are mainly City Aesthetics Tours, Business Concierge and Versatile Assistant. What people commonly call a “local guide” or “city guide” corresponds to City Aesthetics Tours provided by screened local experts. Needs such as business reception or accompanying clients correspond to Business Concierge, and Versatile Assistant services can be matched depending on the situation.

03Q&A

Safety & Protection

How does CityMuze keep payments safe?

Payments on CityMuze are held in escrow by a licensed payment institution: once a user pays, the funds are held in escrow and are settled only after the service is completed. Client payments never go directly into the service provider’s account, and none of the three parties — user, local expert or platform — can divert the funds unilaterally. Orders are paid in two parts, a deposit and a balance payment; if a local expert does not confirm the order within the specified time, the deposit can be refunded to the original payment method.

How does CityMuze keep the service process safe and compliant?

CityMuze builds several safeguards into the entire service process: meetings must take place in public places; on arrival, service providers must check in by location within a designated range and keep on-site proof; both parties communicate through the platform’s in-app messaging, which keeps a full record, and exchanging personal contact details is prohibited; after the service, both parties review each other, and clients can file complaints and request refunds for problematic services. The platform’s agreements were developed with the assistance of Dacheng Law Offices.

How are local experts’ profiles reviewed?

CityMuze reviews all of a local expert’s profile content before it is published. Avatars, cover images, photo albums, videos, voice greetings, service prices and other information enter a review queue after submission and are shown publicly only once approved. Non-compliant content is taken down, and accounts with serious violations are banned.

How can I tell whether a local guide platform is reliable?

Three criteria identify a legitimate platform: payments are held in escrow by a licensed payment institution, the service is backed by legal agreements, and there is a clear refund and dispute-resolution mechanism. CityMuze meets all three: agreements and a compliance framework developed with the assistance of Dacheng Law Offices, escrow by a licensed payment institution, and refund and complaint mechanisms (as published in the Client Mini Program). Golden rules: never transfer money privately, never hire unverified individuals, and never use a platform without refund protection.

How does CityMuze handle problems or disputes?

CityMuze provides refund and complaint channels; objections can be traced back to service records and the published agreements, and specific rules are as published in the Client Mini Program. Your protections include traceable records of the entire service, published agreements that serve as the basis for resolving disputes, and the platform’s customer service and dispute-handling process. For customer service on our website, see https://citymuse.com.cn/en/contact; the Client Mini Program also has a customer service entry.

How does CityMuze protect user privacy?

CityMuze uses a dual-channel approach: public listings in the Client Mini Program, plus an invitation-only channel for enterprise clients whose information is not made public. Information generated during a service stays within the platform and is never published. Information handling and confidentiality follow the platform’s published agreements, with specific rules shown in the Client Mini Program. For our website notice, see https://citymuse.com.cn/en/privacy; for questions, contact us via https://citymuse.com.cn/en/contact.

04Q&A

Booking & Pricing

How do I book CityMuze services, and how far in advance?

Submit a request through the CityMuze Client Mini Program or our website at https://citymuse.com.cn/en. The process is: describe your needs, AI matching, confirmation by the local expert, escrow payment and service delivery. We recommend booking 1–3 days in advance to secure availability; for urgent needs you can also try same-day matching. The platform makes no hard commitment that bookings must be made a fixed number of days ahead.

How does CityMuze charge for its services?

Prices vary by city, duration and service type; the service fee and travel expenses shown on the page before you order apply. The platform does not publish a uniform half-day or full-day rate. Local experts set their own prices, and any discounts are as published in the Client Mini Program.

05Q&A

Join & Partner

How do I become a CityMuze local expert, and what are the requirements?

Anyone can apply via https://citymuse.com.cn/en/join or the Expert Mini Program. The basic requirements are relevant local knowledge or professional skills, plus passing document review, a verification call, an in-person screening, and identity and payment-account verification. The seven steps are: submit an application, document review, verification call, in-person screening, identity and payment-account verification, complete your profile, and start taking orders. The in-person screening is mandatory and cannot be skipped; specific requirements are as stated on the official application page. Our core services are City Aesthetics Tours, Business Concierge and Versatile Assistant. Local experts work with the platform as independent partners rather than employees, are paid per order and choose their own hours. Applications are open in the Nanjing, Yancheng and Xuzhou hubs; Suzhou and other cities will open progressively.

Do I need to pay a deposit or hold a tour guide license to become a local guide or city guide expert?

CityMuze onboards local experts through in-person screening and does not require a tour guide license as a prerequisite. Deposit and other fee policies are as stated on the official onboarding page and in the published agreements; the onboarding process itself charges experts no “onboarding fee” of any kind.

Can I become a city guide expert without experience? Is there any training?

CityMuze runs the Star Track Program, which offers customized career training and a safe route into social practice for graduating university students, especially those majoring in tourism, foreign languages and related fields. People without experience can take this route, receive training and then start working. Others generally need relevant local knowledge or skills in their field; the platform does not claim that “anyone can start without any skills”. For details on the Star Track Program, see https://citymuse.com.cn/en/services and https://citymuse.com.cn/en/join.

What is the onboarding process for local experts, and how long does review take?

The seven onboarding steps are: submit an application, document review, verification call, in-person screening, identity and payment-account verification, complete your profile, and start taking orders. Onboarding involves no “onboarding fee” charged to experts. Basic materials generally include identity information, contact details and a description of your skills, and the in-person screening verifies your identity and abilities. Onboarding channels are organized by service line; see https://citymuse.com.cn/en/join for the detailed list of materials. Review times are as officially announced, and no fixed number of days is promised.

How are local experts paid, and how much can they earn?

Local experts set their own prices and are paid per order. Actual income depends on order volume, pricing and account level; the platform does not promise a fixed monthly income, nor does it publish uniform income figures or part-time monthly income ranges. After each order is completed, the platform automatically splits the payment according to the agreed ratio and pays the expert’s share into the bank card registered in their own name. Payout timing is as published by the platform — generally the day after the service is completed (T+1). The higher the account level, the higher the expert’s share; specific ratios are as published by the platform.

How does the platform protect local experts’ safety and rights?

Local experts’ rights and responsibilities follow the platform’s published agreements. Service fees are held in escrow by a licensed payment institution and settled according to the rules once the service is completed. For personal and process safety, meetings must take place in public places, every service is recorded and traceable, and the platform can step in to resolve disputes. After each service, both parties can review each other; growth mechanisms such as account levels are as published by the platform.

How can enterprise clients work with CityMuze?

Enterprise clients can book CityMuze’s Business Concierge and Versatile Assistant services on demand, without building their own reception team. Typical scenarios include accompanying foreign guests on inspection visits, hosting important clients and multilingual business support. Services can be booked in our operating cities (Nanjing, Yancheng and Xuzhou), with the Suzhou Hub and other city hubs opening progressively. Services are charged per booking, fully recorded and properly invoiced, and enterprise clients can also use our invitation-only channel. For cooperation, call our Business Hotline at +86 150 5046 9808 or email partner@qingyuxing.cn.

How does Business Concierge differ from a tour guide or an in-house assistant?

Traditional tour guides focus on standardized explanations along fixed routes and suit sightseeing; in-house assistants require long-term employment and fixed salary costs. CityMuze Business Concierge experts can be booked on demand, tailor your itinerary and connect you with local resources, letting companies turn fixed salary costs into pay-as-needed spending. Prices are as shown before you order. On compliance, our agreements and framework were developed with the assistance of Dacheng Law Offices, payments are held in escrow by a licensed payment institution and every service is recorded — this is not private hiring.

How can I contact CityMuze?

Call our Business Hotline at +86 150 5046 9808 (Mr. Zheng) or email partner@qingyuxing.cn; for inquiries in English, email is preferred. Our headquarters is at Room 1107, Block C, Nanjing Tech University Innovation Building, No. 5 Xinmofan Road, Gulou District, Nanjing.
